Tracker Two Factor Setup:
Introduction:
To keep Tracker secure against unauthorized access, two factor is required along with your unique password to log in to your account. Implementing two factor technology is one of the best ways to secure accounts against unauthorized access. With two factors enabled the outside entity trying to gain unauthorized access into your account will need to know your password along with having your physical key or one of your Windows Hello two factor sign in options (Ex. Fingerprint, PIN, etc).
Quick start:
Before we begin setting up two factor methods on your device. It is crucial to know which methods you have available. TNM uses physical security keys in addition to the Windows Hello environment. Preferably we want every user using Windows Hello. But not every device has been configured to use it. Thus, a physical key has been provided as well. (Pg. 2-3 provides information whether you do have Windows Hello setup.)
Windows Hello:
Here we will find if your laptop supports Windows Hello. To begin, click on the start button in the bottom left-hand side of your screen. Here you will search “Sign in options”. Below is an image of what should be displayed, please click on what is highlighted in the image below to continue.
A new portal will generate that will bring up every option Windows Hello offers. We ask that both the Windows Hello PIN and Windows Hello Fingerprint be now setup if you have not set it up. By clicking on either or will bring you into the setup where you can follow the instructions to complete adding a new two factor option!
If your device does not support Windows Hello Fingerprint or PIN setup you will need to use the physical security key (Pg. 6-7 will provide setup information), this was given to you during onboarding. To know if your Windows Hello Fingerprint or PIN is not available on your device refer to the image below.
If you were able to successfully setup Windows Hello Fingerprint and PIN we may continue to adding these 2FA methods into your tracker as well. To begin linking your 2FA, log into Tracker and click your name in the left-side menu. A window will appear allowing you to change your account details and preferences. Clicking “2FA” will open a new menu and will show any registered 2FA’s you may have already as well as an option to add more 2FA’s.
The image below will be prompted once you click on “Add 2FA”, you will be able to pick whether you want to use your fingerprint or PIN. Once you have selected an option you will use the same finger / PIN you did for your initial setup on Windows Hello. After completing this portion successfully, a green bar on the top right will appear telling you your new 2FA has been added successfully.
After linking your 2FA method you will be asked to provide it every time you log in to Tracker.

Security Key Setup:
To setup your physical security key because you do not have access to setup Windows Hello. We can begin by logging in to Tracker, then click your name located on the top left hand side of the website. A window will appear showing multiple options. Proceed by clicking the “2FA” option. Then you will be able to add a 2FA.
A prompt will be shown asking you to insert the security key into your device and then to touch the touch pad on the key to register it to your account. You are able to insert the key into any available USB port as well on your device, or in a USB port available on a USB hub attached to your device. When the prompt is shown asking you to insert and touch the key, a light on the touch pad of the key should blink.
Once you have touched the security key, it will be registered into your account and will be shown in the “Registered 2FA methods”.
It is vital you always keep this key with you, as you will not be able to log into Tracker without it. As from now on it will always ask for it when you try to log in.
